Probably the most interesting of this batch of Glasgow by-elections, the only one the SNP won in single-seat terms in 2022, and one of the Greens’ likely targets for 2027.

Although this should be a pretty nailed on Labour win, to me it’s the most exciting by-election of the year because I actually get to vote in it.

Attempts by the far-right masquerading as “Independent Green Voice” fail to prevent the legitimate Greens winning a historic first ever by-election victory, as Labour continue to show strong signs of recovery.

The sad passing of a local Labour stalwart triggers one of the most interesting council by-elections yet, the first time Ballot Box Scotland has predicted the Greens as the most likely winners.

Two by-elections in Glasgow delivered high drama in my own ward with a narrow Labour victory over the SNP, whilst the other ward was almost completely status quo.

Another Glasgow ward with a disqualified councillor (Conservative-turned-Independent), although one of the city’s most diverse wards, the SNP remain clear favourites.
