Ipsos MORI, 15th – 21st of February 2021

A gloomy poll for Labour, the SNP remain miles ahead of everyone else, whilst the Greens find a single percentage point can be make-or-break. Support for Independence continues a slight reversal found by other pollsters, which could soon see an unprecedented streak of leads brought to a close.

Midlothian East By-Election, 25/03/2021

An SNP resignation in this ward gives us another one of those extremely tight marginals. It was a near tie between Labour and the actually tied Conservatives and SNP at the crucial stage in the re-calculation, so expect all three to be in with a chance.

Almond and Earn (Perth & Kinross) By-Election, 25/03/2021

In another by-election arising from tragic circumstances, the Conservatives are runaway favourites to win a third seat here, giving them every councillor in the ward.

Partick East/Kelvindale (Glasgow) By-Election, 18/03/2021

Another Glasgow ward with a disqualified councillor (Conservative-turned-Independent), although one of the city’s most diverse wards, the SNP remain clear favourites.

Helensburgh and Lomond South (Argyll & Bute) By-Election, 18/03/2021

The other Argyll and Bute by-election taking place on the 18th of March is a Lib Dem vacancy that’s most likely to go to the Conservatives.

Baillieston (Glasgow) By-Election, 18/03/2021

The shock disqualification of one of the city’s longest serving Labour councillors has prompted this by-election which the SNP are runaway favourites to win.

Isle of Bute (Argyll & Bute) By-Election 18/03/2021

One of two Argyll & Bute by-elections, both sadly following the death of a councillor, Bute will be a tough competition between the SNP, Conservatives and a strong local Independent.

ComRes, 4th-9th of February 2021

ComRes firmly claim the crown for the most prolific Scottish pollster, with this one finding a Conservative bounceback into second and the first projected loss in seats for the Lib Dems since 2017.

Leaderdale and Melrose (Borders) By-Election, 11/03/2021

Prompted by the sad passing of the local SNP councillor Kevin Drum, this by-election looks most favourable for the Conservatives. However, always keep an eye on Independents when in a big rural council like the Borders!

Livingston South (West Lothian) By-Election, 11/03/2021

The departure of a very long-serving SNP councillor has this ward as a knife-edge contest between his party and Labour. By-election demographics might favour Labour, recent polling the SNP.

The scenes we saw in Glasgow earlier this week, as racists took to the streets to intimidate and threaten ethnic minority Glaswegians were despicable, and this afternoon we showed a tiny, outnumbered crowd of bigots that we don't want their hatred in our city.

Edinburgh by-elections due on the 3rd of September. In 2022, Labour beat Greens by 2% after transfers. Given what happened last month, Greens should surely be ahead. If they win, that'd be only their second by-election win ever. Curveball: Lib Dems have a formidable local machine.

A messy vote in a historic SNP heartland, where the Conservatives made stunning inroads post-IndyRef, and Reform lead on one of the votes last month. A tossup between all three, then?
